Floodlighting Appeal
The club is currently raising funds for desperately needed new floodlighting. A recent grant offer by the council has been gratefully accepted and has helped provide enough to work on Phase 1 of the floodlight development plan.
Let there be light..............................
Phase 1 is complete, giving light to the 2nd XV pitch to training standard. Phase 2 will bring the additional light to the training ground and/or the 1st XV pitch. The long term target is to bring the 1st XV pitch lighting up to match standard, allowing the facility to be offered for night matches.
The picture below shows the "LUX Readings" before and after the install. In summary......... it is about 8 to 10 times lighter with the new system!
Phase 2:

A recent grant by "The Big Lottery" will allow us to progress with the next phase.... watch this space.
Contributors so far have included the Microbes who have given £500 (below); Ticket Raffles & sales £900, Council Grant £4,500, The Big Lottery Grant £6000!
"New" floodlights at their former location.
The lights consist of 8 cantilever stanctions and were used last season for an FA Cup football match. Also, 6off 8m tall lighting units for the 2nd XV training ground.
Local Haulier - Bayne & Sons generously agreed to collect the lighting from Stratford.
